Young people

Projects and event formats that create encounters and connect people.

Our vision

We believe in the power of young people to actively shape Europe. Our vision is a Danube region and a Europe in which young people not only understand democracy, but live it - through education, encounters and participation.
Democracy education in a European context
We promote political education that looks beyond national borders. Young people should be able to recognise and critically reflect on the values, institutions and challenges of the European Union. We focus on innovative formats that make knowledge tangible and motivate active participation.
Encounter creates understanding
We create spaces for real encounters - between cultures, generations and perspectives. Whether through exchange programmes, youth dialogues or joint projects: Closeness is created through personal experiences, and understanding grows through dialogue.
Networks for the future
We help young people to network - locally, regionally and internationally. Our programmes strengthen the development of sustainable partnerships and promote the exchange of ideas, commitment and visions for a common Europe.
A living Danube region as a learning and creative space
The Danube region is a unique cultural and living space. We want to use it as a platform to make European topics tangible and to sensitise young people to the diversity and common challenges of this region.

European competition

18 September 2025

The 73rd European competition has started! In the 2025/26 school year, everything revolves around human rights - under the motto: "Your Europe: Rights, Respect - Reality?". Whether with pictures, texts, podcasts, comics or videos - 13 age-appropriate tasks invite pupils to engage intensively and creatively with the topic of Europe. Where do pupils experience human rights? Where are they missing? What needs to change? In autumn, teachers will receive practical online training on how to implement these questions in the classroom.
