Warsaw, the vibrant capital of Poland, is not only a cultural centre, but also an important site of European history and politics. Join us on a virtual tour of the city, guided by Andreas Christ and Marzenna Guz-Vetter, former Head of the European Commission Representation in Poland. She is a member of the European Commission's EUROPE Direct speaker pool.
Discover the city on the Vistula with its diverse architecture - from Gothic churches and classicist palaces to modern skyscrapers. Rebuilt after the Second World War, Warsaw's Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the centre: the market square with cafés and the statue of the Warsaw Mermaid, the symbol of the city.
