Understanding, communicating and discussing Europe
How can European history and politics be communicated in an understandable, relevant and tangible way? Which methods are suitable for addressing European topics such as diversity, migration and disinformation in political education? Dhe event combines specialist impulses with practical teaching approaches.
Target group:
‘The event is aimed at teachers of all school types as well as multipliers in school and extracurricular educational work from Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
The content is particularly suitable for use from Year 8 in subjects such as social studies, social studies and history.
Participants receive a certificate of participation.

The simulation game method using the example of „Fact or Fake?“
Introduction to the simulation game method using the example of a simulation game on how the European Union deals with disinformation and hate speech. Participants gain insights into the process, roles and materials and experience political negotiation processes in political groups in the European Parliament.
Between the borders - Minorities in the Danube region
Interactive workshop on the history and present of national minorities in the Danube region. The focus is on questions of identity, belonging and diversity as well as didactic approaches for teaching.
Blind date with the DONAUschwaben
Interactive insights into inclusive and multisensory communication methods using the example of the special exhibition „Typical! The presentation will show how tactile objects, auditory offerings and accessible exhibition planning enable low-threshold access to the history of the Danube Swabians.
In addition to professional and methodological input, the event offers space for exchange, discussion and networking as well as the opportunity to familiarise yourself with materials and offers that can be used directly in educational work.
On the first day of the event, there will be a joint dinner and a cultural programme with a night watchman tour of Ulm city centre.
