Generation Change - Who will save the world?

Documentary film and Discussion

As part of Ulm Environment Week 2025, we cordially invite all interested parties to the free film event "Generation Change - Who will save the world?". Austrian climate and human rights activist Sarah Sadeghi takes us on an impressive journey across Europe in search of answers to the climate crisis.

Sarah Sadeghi, an Austrian climate activist, embarked on an extraordinary journey in 2021 - travelling across Europe by train, from Poland to Portugal. She visited places where the effects of the climate crisis can already be clearly felt today. She was not just an observer - she wanted to understand, scrutinise and learn. The answers she received were sometimes alarming, sometimes hopeful. The good thing was that she met people all over Europe with exciting ideas and real solutions.

Following the film, we look forward to an exciting discussion with Austrian climate activist Sarah Sadeghi. How can we remain hopeful and active in the face of global crises? What can we as individuals really achieve - and where do we reach our limits? What are the differences between the perspectives of people in different European countries and what can we learn from each other?

This is an event organised by: Europe Direct Zentrum im Donaubüro Ulm/Neu-Ulm and Obscura Kino, EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal, State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg, Südwind
