Empowering women - overcoming boundaries

To mark Women's Day, a charity jazz concert will be held with former mayor Gunter Czisch and his fellow musicians from Serbia and Ulm. The proceeds from the concert will go to the women's rights organisation AMICA e. V., which will be presenting itself at the event in Ulm.

AMICA e.V. is a women's rights organisation that supports women and girls in war and crisis zones such as Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Founded in 1993 as a Freiburg initiative in response to the sexualised violence of the Bosnian war, AMICA offers humanitarian aid for women who have experienced violence and trauma. In cooperation with its local partners, the organisation offers protection, promotes women's rights and campaigns for an end to violence against women, regardless of their nationality, origin, social, religious, political or ethnic affiliation, sexual orientation or age.

Women's projects are at the centre of the discussion: social, societal and economic. They are presented in brief accounts that enrich the East-West dialogue with a view to Europe growing together.
