About the Culture Night 2024
On a tour with our Danube Guide Martha Weggenmann through Ulm's old town, along the Blau river, you will learn exciting facts about the people of Ulm, who have known how to utilise water power since the Middle Ages. For a long time, water wheels made it easier to grind, saw, stamp, hammer, grind, draw, mill and weave, thus supplying the city of Ulm. Many locations became the cradle of regional businesses and international corporations and tell us stories of craftsmanship and industrial culture. Even after industrialisation, a few mill wheels still turn in the Blau and we immerse ourselves in the exciting world of the often mysterious energy and technology of the mills.
